APPLICATION AREAS

 

At repairing of breaks and defects occur on concrete, beams, pillars, surfaces of precast elements, correcting of dents and clearances formed on surfaces of concretes, for thick applications for correcting and leveling of surface before applying decorative coverings YEYMET MORTAR is used. It is thioxotropic (setting starts with the completion of application), application areas are expanded with its non shrink property.

 

METHOD OF APPLICATION

 

 Surface should be clean and free of movable parts and materials preventing adhesion such as dirt, paint, water repellent insulation, application should not be carried out in cold weather with temperatures below +5 ºC. Conditions affecting formation of setting such as direct sun light, wind, rain should be avoided. Since chemicals exist within

 

 

YEYMET MORTAR structure there is no need to use prime coat before application.

 

However, application surface should be saturated with water by watering an intervals to prevent sudden water loss, there should be no water deposit on the surface before application. 25 kg YEYMET MORTAR is put in a clean container and 5 – 5.5 kg water (APPROX 22%) is mixed with a drill fitted with a mixer or a suitable mixer until no aglomerate is formed. Later it is left for 5 minutes. At the end of this period it is mixed for 1 – 2 minutes more. To the surface wetted and saturated with water YEYMET MORTAR is spread with a suitable instrument or trowel or sprinkled. Later surface is leveled.  In order to prevent scaling during spreading it is recommended that it is mixed at intervals. Since water absorbed into the surface can dry in hot weathers dried surfaces should be wetted again.

 

USAGE QUANTITY

 

Quantity changes according to depth of application and surface roughness. On average for 1 cm thick and 1 m2 surface 15 kg YEYMET MORTAR is required.

Product should be left in a dry and cool place. Shelf life at suitable conditions is 1 year.  Stacking should not exceed 8 rows on top of each other.
