A cement-based repair and surface correction mortar which has been reinforced with retre preventive and joining chemicals and polymers developed to repair surfaces such as walls, readymix concrete which require thick repairs.

APPLICATION AREAS

 

REMIX 10 is used for thick applications such as the repair of cracks and flaws which appear in walls, plasters and beams, the correction of pitting and gaps in concrete surfaces, surface correction and smoothing prior to decorative coatings.

 

METHOD OF APPLICATION

 

The surface should be clean and free from loose particles, dirt and any substances which will prevent adherence such as paint, water and resisting insulation. Application should not be carried out in weather conditions colder than +4 °C.

 

Conditions such as direct sunlight, wind and rain which affect formation should be avoided. As REMÝX 10 contains chemicals there is no need for a primer before application. However, the surface should be wetted with water at certain intervals to

 

 

prevent sudden water loss and there must be no accumulated water prior to application.

 

25 kg REMÝX 10 is placed in a clean container and 5-5.5 kg water(about 22%) is added then mixed with a suitable mixer such as a drill fitted with a mixer head making sure that no lumps form. The mixture is then left alone for 5 minutes. It must then be mixed for a further 1-2 minutes.

 

REMÝX 10 is spread or sprinkled onto the wetted and watered down surface with the help of a trowel or other suitable tool. Then the surface is smoothed over. In order to prevent scaling the mixture should be mixed now and then during application.

 

As the water fed to the surface may dry in warm weather, such surfaces must be rewatered.
