APPLICATION AREAS

YEYKIM FUGA is used to fill the joint gaps of materials which often come into contact with water such as ceramics, tiles, mosaic tiling, etc. in areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, toilets and corridors.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Surface to be filled must be clean, then wiped with a wet sponge and the filler should be fed into the joint with a soft spatula. The surface should be smoothed over with the help of a rubber trowel. Once the applied filler has sufficiently set, the excess should be wiped away from the ceramic with a cloth. In order to apply joint filler 24 hours should pass for horizontal surfaces and 48 hours for vertical surfaces.

YEYKIM FUGA is available in 20 kg powder  form and should be mixed  with 5.5-6 kg of clean water taking care to avoid lumps forming. Then the mixture should be left

alone for 10-15 minutes to allow the chemicals to dissolve. The mixture should be used up within 2 hours, after this period no more water or powder should be added to set mortar. If an interval occurs during application, the mixture should be mixed again before resuming work. Only an amount sufficient for 2 hours use should be prepared.

After obtaining a past-like mixture, the mortar should be pressed on as thin layer and then spread out at an angel of 45 degrees using a comb trowel. The materials to be adhered should be pressed down.
